Most of us think that styling our outfits is the only thing that keeps our fashion game up, but what we forget about most of the times is that, shoes are a lot more than just footwear. A right shoe with right clothes is what actually makes you look stylish manifold. Today, we are going to share more about shoe trends of this year to help you keep up with the latest fashion. Shoes have been an important part of the history since a long time now. If we go back to the 20th Century, we can see a drastic change in the making and design of the shoes, they became better and more comfortable than those that were manufactured in the 19th century and before. Like I mentioned previously, shoes are not just an accessory for feet, they are a part of history and evolution.
First in the list we have, Loafers. Introduced in 1953 for the first time, loafers came to replace all other shoes choices back then. Loafers look attractive and classy, and who does not like to look elegant. They are suitable for formal style and with today’s designs; Loafers are perfect for a casual style as well. Next up we have, The Boat Shoes. These shoes were invented by an American, named Paul Sperry in 1935. He made these shoes with sole reason to walk on slippery places without falling and the inspiration was his dog, running on the ice. Back then, Boat shoes were called as the Shoe of the rich but as the time passed by, these shoes became more and more approachable. The unique design of these shoes is what everyone likes. Boat shoes are a type of Casual shoes, so the outfit itself should be casual while wearing these.
At the 3rd number, we have Sneakers. Everyone loves Sneakers. They are comfortable, stylish and casual. In the early 19th century, Wait Webster made the very first sneakers. These were called Plimsolls and not sneakers at that time. Although these were not comfortable at all and there was no difference between Right foot and Left Foot. The more comfortable version was made in 1892 by the U.S. Rubber Company. Then a better and comfortable design came in the arena of sneakers in 1917. Since then the evolution of sneakers has not stopped and well, we guess, never will. Sneakers have become the youth’s first choice when it comes to casual footwear.
How could boots ever not make it to the list of trendy shoes? The first boots were made in 1817, for the Duke of Wellington and they were called ‘The Wellington Boots’. It is said that The Hunter wellington boots became a ‘must have’ festive wear after model Kate Moss was spotted wearing a pair of these to Glastonbury in 2008. Since then, boots came into the line of evergreen trends. There is just something about the boots that makes them everyone’s favorite, maybe it’s the charm or the tough guy persona it exudes. Last but not the least, we have Brogue Shoes. The origination of these shoes traces back to the 19th century, in Ireland and Scotland. These shoes were originally made for the Irish and Scottish farmers but as the time passed by, the new designs and styles came along and these became a choice of most of the people. Brogue Shoes are more casual than the formal shoes but not too casual. There are so many types of Brogue shoes in the market right now, that there is definitely a brogue out there for you.
